Hello everybody! My name is Rose Bryant, and I can't wait to become
a teacher. I am, right now attending St.Johns River Community College and will graduate this spring. From there on I will
attend UNF. Next year I do beleive I am going to start subbing for some of the local schools just to get my foot in to door
and get my name out there for when I do start teaching. Once I get my degree I would love to teach elementary students the
grades from pre-k to second grade. To me the students seem the most fun even if they do wipe their noseswith their hand
than touch everything in the classroom.
~*~*~ MY PHILOSOPHY ~*~*~
My philosophy is that education
is for the students and that they should be the ones that we, as teachers create our work around. I believe that while teaching
a student he or she should be learning in a way that they are able to go back and teach others their knowledge that they’ve
learned. I believe that learning new and exciting things should be fun for the students and also the teacher. Each student
should be curious about learning. I think it should stay that way for all their years of a student’s education.
While
I am to become a teacher I would like to be able to see my students progressing by themselves. For example, I would like to
see them searching for information not only because its work, but because they want to learn more. I hope that by becoming
a teacher I help the ones that some other teachers had no hope for, I hope that I can make learning a good thing and not so
boring for those whom think it is and always will be.
As not yet a teacher, I am not 100 percent what my philosophy on teaching is but I
am sure that it will change day –to- day and year- to- year. By taking
educational classes though it has made me start thinking about what kind of teacher I may want to become and hope to
be once I get into the classroom.
I am very excited about my career I have choosen and
am looking forward to doing it.
Once I become a teacher....
It all depends on the grade level I am in but I would end up teaching all subjects. If I end up getting to teach pre-k
I would be teaching them their ABC's and 123's and how to write name, simple things along those lines. Once I got to the higher
grades like second grade it would be more basic socail studies, the proper way to write, reading and simple math like
adding and subtraction.
See attached web-sites for some ideas of what I am thinking about in my head ,and where I got
my ideas from.(on the right below the picture)
Simple Quote:
"As a teacher you can only help those whom want to be helped. You can pour your heart and soul into the one's whom
you want to help.At the end of the day though you can be up-set that you didn't help those whom didn't take your help, just
be gald that you made a differnence in some students life."
